The YACON Downloader is an easy-to-use download manager for the Windows
console. (Windows 2000 - Vista)
The YACON Downloader is a lean special tool for a special task.
The YACON Downloader will keep your system high performing and lean.

- clean command line interface
- HTTP and FTP links must be listed in a text file
- parallel downloads
- authentication by login and password
- authentication by Internet Explorer or Firefox cookie

The Advanced Features of the YACON Downloader
- custom target directory
- proxies
- custom command call after downloads have finished
Note that resuming downloads, and HTTPS and FTPS links
are currently not supported.

Simply have the URL's (of the files you want to download) arranged in
a text file (lets name it "links.txt") and type in a console
window:
yacond links.txt -m=3 -useFFCookies -execute="shutdown.exe -s"
to have the files downloaded to your computer.
In the this example three files will download concurrently, while you
are authenticated to the download server by the cookie stored in your
Firefox browser.
After the downloads are finished the shutdown command will be executed
to switch off the computer.

After installing the YACON Downloader you can display all possible switches
using yacond -help.

The Yacon Downloader comes in three flavours:
- in a full featured installer package (YacondDownloader.exe
- MD5: 4dcdd3443e22dba3c071f9cf251d707a)
- as a portable drive application in a zip-package (PortableYacond.exe
- MD5: 8357173a573bcaf9afa4cc46f472179b)
By default the installer will put the downloader yacond.exe in the rostock-digital\yacond
subdirectory of your system's Program files folder, and append
that folder to the Path environment variable. Feel free to manually
rename the yacond.exe file to a name which you can remember more easely.
System Requirements:
If not present Microsoft's
.NET 2.0 runtime will be installed in the setup process of the YACON
Downloader. PortableYacond.exe does not include the .NET runtime.
